Toddlerhood

I stopped posting for a while because things were busy and we were head first into the world of the toddler. Literally a few days after his birthday, he started throwing tantrums for the the silliest reasons, full crying, stomping and then the instant happy once a new distraction pops up.

Here's a basic update:

He weighs about 29 pounds, wears 18 month clothes and size 5 diapers!

He walks everywhere and is close to a run. He is just starting to wave, high five and almost clap. He's never been much into that type of interaction, more about exploring the world.

He can say mama, dad, papa, kitty, hiiii, hot, baby, ball and then the random babbling that he does when he's reading by himself. It's SO cute.

Cutie pictures to follow!

Welcome Fall

The cooler air has been welcomed with open arms in our house. We love all things autumn and cozy.

A trip to the park on the last warm night.

He is too much.

First dirt mound. Don't mind if I do.

And three mouthfuls later...

He's become a professional explorer.

Ducks!

A beautiful day for golf.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Joe. We love you.

Happy 11!

This boy is walking, babbling, playing and no longer that little baby I brought home. He has 6 teeth, working on more. Says 'mama' 'up' 'papa' 'guh' and 'kkkkkkkk' which I think might turn into kitty someday soon.

Finally, after 11 long months, he's sleeping longer stretches, mostly through the night and takes two good naps each day. During the day, he's busy chasing down the cat, yanking every cord out of the wall and eating it, destroying every toy basket and room, and EATING. This boys loves to eat.

Like, really. All the time. And he's pretty much down to try anything!

He's super relaxed rolling in the cart.

It's so hard to take these monthly photos. He just doesn't sit still!

Oh sweet naptime.

I love this little nudist.

Happenings

Well, we are currently holding the record of 11 steps. Our house is immensely busier than it was a month ago. But we wouldn't change a thing!

A family trip with uncle Mac to the aquarium was so much fun!

Delicious.

Thatch had his first boat ride last month. He was less than thrilled about the hot pink life jacket.

He plays "so big" all the time.

We also started doing our childcare swap with our good friends. Both mamas are part time teachers in the same district, so in the mornings I have both babies and the afternoons they are with Julia! Let the shenanigans commence.

Family adventure day.

Favorite park pastime.

Lovin lunchtime.

Diapers on only in the box. We learned our lesson.

My sweet boys.

Enjoying the last of the warm summer nights.

Snacks and some Daniel Tiger, life is too good. I found him here, for the record.

Just so yummy!!!

He looks so old here! Where's my baby??

These boys had their first lunch date.
Bros and burgers.

Summer has come to a close, but the fall is much anticipated in our house. I can't believe he's almost 1!
