Bow Ties

Today we sent off friends to head for NY to experience the Super Bowl and two hours later, picked up two friends to watch it here with us.

A busy day for this gentleman.

So many things going on this weekend-amidst the busyness, this little guy is constantly grabbing his cutie pie toes. A new toy!

Last night I tried to sneak Thatch into bed since he had fallen asleep nursing...to my surprise his eyes shot open as soon as I set him down. I walked away defeated, knowing id be back. He spent t h i r t y minutes playing, squealing and chatting by himself in his crib.

Hard to be upset when those sweet noises are happening :)

Trying Something New

First of all, I've been reflecting a lot lately about how big my little man has gotten. It's so hard to believe!!

The eyes!!!

We've also started to experiment with some of our 'must have neck control' toys.

Jury is still out...

And this sweet moment is from our mommy and thatcher cuddle session in the morning after daddy goes to work.

Precious.

Lovely Weekend

Well we are FINALLY out of our other place, and almost completely settled in the new one. Considering how crazy that experience was, I feel like we are doing quite well.

We took a really awesome trip to long beach Sunday with the whole fam bam. It was a gorgeous day and Thatcher's first trip to the beach!

Dressing up

Playtime with Papa Daddy

Yum, feet.

So in a few weeks, our Grammy is getting married! Which means Thatcher needs to get suited up. I haven't found the perfect little man outfit yet, but I found this adorable hat...

We might have to grow into it!

I'll have to keep on the hunt-stay tuned

Late nights

Late nights to bed, but we are working hard at getting this little guy on a good nap routine! This boy is strong willed!

A few days of photos will have to do.

Tummy time, gasp!

Yum.

Nevermind.

Post bath nakey time.

Our good pal, Sophie.

Today marked your first, full belly laugh. You were grabbing my face and thought it was so funny! Our hearts are full!

Sunday

We had a heck of a night from Saturday to Sunday, this picture explains how you felt about bedtime.

Please guys.

Somehow everyone finally got to sleep and came out of our zombie suits- thatcher included.

Another moving, unpacking day (seriously almost finished) and a Seahawks win to wrap it up!

Of course, 20 minutes later, this outfit had a total blowout...way to celebrate little guy!

3 months old!

Happy 3 Month birthday sweet boy!

You bring us so much joy! But really, never grow up. These are such wonderful days and I feel like I never want them to end, but we are also so excited to see the man you will become!

Currently, you are strapped to me in the moby wrap, you are finally asleep after refusing to nap almost all day. Tired mama, but so in love with you.

This week

We've been so busy this week trying to finish our move and keep this guy entertained and distracted.

He's been chatting it up with his toys, mom and dad and starting to talk to other people too! Teething has been tough, and so has sleep this last week.

A walk at 830 pm? Mama will do anything to get this baby to sleep.

"Mom, quit taking pictures of me with my hands in my mouth!!!"

This is our sweet friend olive. She's 10 months old and teaches thatcher the ways of baby life.

This expression is priceless. Uh, You going to help me out, mom???

Here we go...

After a few really, REALLY long and exhausting sleepless nights, we've finally come to the conclusion that mister thatch is entering the teething stage. Monday he was so fussy that I only got one photo of him not crying.

Oh boy.

Thatch and daddy practicing those mommy baby yoga moves. Slightly terrified.

Thankfully, I have a great group of mommy friends who are always willing to help a girl out.

Today, after arming myself with all of the teething remedies on Google and in Target, I attempted to tame the beast. It's 10:15, and baby is asleep in my arms...here's hoping for a better night!

I can't get enough of these man boobs.

Working on our rolling all the time!

One trick for teething, distraction. He loves his own pudgy face :)

I'm learning so much about patience, trusting myself and relying on others to help raise this boy. Phew.

Weekend Fun

Saturday was tough to start after a fussy night and morning. Sometimes he wakes up straight off the wrong side of the bed. But, we did watch the Seahawks playoff game-naturally Thatcher had his gear on.

Thatcher is also loving these great squishy balls. Lots of ways to practice grabbing and licking?

The big win was that mommy and daddy got to watch two movies all the way the the end with only one short interruption! First time since before he was born-wahoo!

Sunday starteded very early. 5 am in fact. Going to bed early means getting up early too apparently!

We spent the day moving and unpacking- why oh why did we move again?

But ended the evening with dinner at Nana Tammy's and Sugar Ray's. We met our new little 'niece' Bellamy Rue and saw her big brother Baylor.

Chris and Kendra are 2 months apart and now have three kiddos between them. Hooray for family!!

Thursday/Friday

Thursday January 9th was a normal at home day. Still unpacking slowly, but love  watching this boy learn new things every day. Our auntie meg also stopped by for a visit!

We discovered that thatcher has a real love for Ina Garten and 'old fashioned Mac n cheese'. He talked, coo-ed and kicked with joy. Weird baby.

I spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen with this handsome guy chatting with me. He's always very excited to watch his mama.

Getting those abs stronger during tummy time. But come on, the cuteness overload is almost too much.

Friday was baby and mommy yoga day! Lots of little babies all around the same age as thatch, but clearly thatcher knew how to do this yoga thing.

It was really fun to have him wake up all smiles during the second half of class. 3 more Fridays if fun ahead!

It was also DATE NIGHT for mommy and daddy. Thank you times a million to Grammy Andrea and Pa-paw Jim (we decided on this nickname, not him) for snuggling and playing with our boy while we had a lovely dinner out!

Still struggling at night time. So much fussing and crying until somehow we manage to finally get him asleep. Hoping and praying he's just growing and will be able to go down easier, and sleep longer.

We can hope anyway.
